 [ Walltype #1 ]
From: Hopalong
Highlights of Hawaii. The Hawaiian islands feature special offerings - a spectacular active volcano, majestic humpback whales, delicious shaved ice and Kona coffee, and countless, enchanting beaches. Each island has its own unique personality and provides a landscape full of adeventure and sightseeing oppotunities.
Liarnie, also a fellow snail mail enthusiast, recommended this site called Walltype. It's a postcard exchange community where you can choose different topics, depending on the postcard you are going to send. It's really easy once you get a hang of it and here's the great thing: NO LIMIT.  This Hawaii mapcard from Hopalong (Glennys) is my first one through Walltype. It's quite adorable, isn't it?

Glennys used a Grand Teton National Park stamp.

 Thank you card!
From: Corina (corin)
Dated: July 26, 2011

I sent Corina an official postcard months ago and she was very nice to send me a thank you card in return. She also chose this one out of my favorites album! Maraming salamat Corina!

Stamps used:  Queen Beatrix, 15c, Kinderpostzegel Nederland

Back!

Thursday, August 11, 2011

Oh wow! It's been months since I last updated this blog. I've received loads of postcards and mail while I was gone and I think I've lost count of them already. To be honest, I don't know where to start if I start posting them each.

A lot has happened within these past 5(?) months. Hospital training has drained all of my energy and I find it hard to keep up with snail mails, etc. Now I have a very lousy record over at my Postcrossing account. I'd rather sleep and take a rest than make a run to the post office. Shift schedules also prevent me from enjoying the hobby. I've also been a very bad pen pal (Sorry Sarah!).

Now that my training is over, I'm slowly easing back into the hobby. It's so nice to have that excited feeling back and it made me regret the 5 month hiatus I took from snail mailing. I also tried joining Swap-bot and Walltype, great sites you should check out.

See you soon!
